OUTPOURED:
The Work We do

2023 Sermon Series planning Event

Oct 4-6 at Camp Walter Scott
Are you frazzled and harried by the demand for weekly sermons?
Do you feel guilty on Sunday afternoon that you didn't give your  congregation the sermon they deserved?
Are you frustrated as you plan worship - by yourself or with/ for your team?

At the conclusion of the event you will have:
*A preaching calendar for 2023.
*Series mapped out for the entire year
*Scriptures, images, and worship elements for each Sunday of 2023
including three sermon series with images, worship elements, prayers, texts, and music suggestions from A Generous Welcome (a $200 value)
*Notes and ideas for each sermon of 2023
*Music and images for each Sunday and season
*Outlines for Special Services: Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunrise, Christmas Eve
*Fun!!

This event is for:
* Those who have a sense God has called them to preach with integrity and intention
*Those whose souls are fed by beautiful, meaningful, and carefully crafted worship music, images, and texts
*Those who are willing to commit to focused, intentional, Spirit-guided collaboration and individual work for three days

This event will give you:
*A proactive, purposeful plan for preaching in 2023
*A plan created by you for your context
* The opportunity to allow those who work with you to use their God-given creativity to minister to your congregation
*The joy that comes from the partnership God offers us when we give our whole selves to the work to which we are called

A note from the Facilitators:
Each of us have been doing this for ourselves individually for several years and it has changed how we do ministry. We used to try to plan a few weeks or a month at a time, but inevitably would end up chasing after rabbit trails or scrambling to get the info we each needed, not to mention being unable to share with others the info that they needed to plan meaningful and intentional worship experiences. We've also found that when the ‘ducks were all in a row’ it was easier to be responsive and spontaneous when the Spirit inspired us. Having a worship and preaching plan and being able to share it with the congregation has allowed for responsiveness, collaboration, and accountability. In short, the brief time of focussed prayer and effort we have put forth in creating a year-long preaching plan, has eliminated weeks upon weeks of harassed and frantic work.

While we can do it alone, it's better with friends. Thus, Melissa Ebken, pastor of Niantic and Illiopolis Christian Churches, and founder of Light Life and Love Ministries™ with April McClure-Stewart, Memorial Christian Church, Peoria, and founder of A Generous Welcome, invite you to a three-day, two-night working event at Camp Walter Scott.
We know that the Spirit is going to show up and She is better experienced with friends.
