Community Outreach
Food Pantry: Our Food Pantry serves the residents in Niantic. It is open 3-5 the first Tuesday of
each month.
Sangamon Valley Backpack Project: School supplies are provided for Sangamon Valley Students.
Dates are posted each July-August.
Sangamon Valley RIF: We donate to the reading program at school to provide books for kids.
Rotz Scholarships: These are awarded annually via a generous donation set up by the Rotz
family. Rewards began in 2007, with nearly $70,000 awarded.
2020 recipients are: Alina Blair, Bradley Centola , Jacey Centola, Sierra
Centola, Paige Coss, Paige Ford, Mikayla Jackson, Alex Mann, and Caleb

Sangamon Valley Post Prom: We donate to the post prom committee to offer a safe after-prom
experience.
Sangamon Valley Golden Cord: Each year we proudly donate to the Golden Cord initiative to
recognize our high-achieving graduates.
Eureka College: Each month we send monetary support to our closest DOC College, where some
of our folks have attended.
Angel Tree: Each December we provide Christmas presents for local families in need.
Dove: Dove is a coalition of religious organizations, volunteers, and advocates that seeks to
coordinate efforts to address unmet human needs and social injustices. Dove works for
justice, equality, and understanding among all people. Niantic Christian Church was one
of the seven founding churches that founded Dove in 1970. We proudly maintain an
active role today in this vital ministry.
